Why you should start a blog

You can spend all your time on researching strategies that are often outdated anyway and writing blog posts or you can watch my video series to help you get started with actionable steps now.

This free video series is a shortcut to building a profitable blog, the shortcut you need to set your blog up for success in 30 days or less.

And don’t get me wrong, it’s not all about making money as a blogger. I also dive into the importance of building a blogging foundation and how to write better posts, that people love to read.

When you finish this video series, you know what you need to build a profitable blog. I’m telling you my secret to keeping your traffic up with minimum efforts while focussing on building a blog business instead of getting new followers and visitors.

We’re building a foundation for your blog business, one that’s different from what you’ve been doing now, I promise. Because when things don’t work out, you need to change your strategy. Your situation. To do better.

Many of the strategies you find online, focus on building a following first and then making money. Or focus on making money from blog sponsors and Ads, but that’s almost impossible when you have a small following. I know because I’ve been blogging fulltime the past 4 years, and I have been blogging for more than 12 years!

Many of my blog coaching clients have asked me questions about making money blogging, growing your blog, following, and traffic. Well, it DOES matter of course, but it shouldn’t be your focus point.

Your focus TODAY should be making money with a small following. Earning some sort of money with your blog will give you the motivation to keep going, and less money stress, I know most of us to have it!

So, therefore, let’s dive into the things you need to know NOW!

During the 12 years of blogging, I have been blogging professionally for the past 4 years and I noticed a couple of things.

I’m the first to tell you, it isn’t easy. I have made many mistakes by building a profitable blog because I was focussing on the wrong things.

A lot of bloggers are struggling with finding their unique voice, growing their traffic and handling their social media channels while growing it.

But did you know you don’t need a big following to become a full-time blogger and to start living a life you love?

I’m a microblogger and I earn a living off of it. Don’t know what micro influencers are? You’re not a micro influencer when you have 1 follower, but when you have less than 30.000 followers.

I must admit, I have more readers on my blog but when it comes to social media, I can’t be bothered.

Really. I’m not online 24/7, I have less than 30.000 followers on all the channels and I don’t focus on actively growing my traffic when I blog.

I keep it in mind, but my focus is always helping others and writing about things I love.

I get offers to make money quick, but I don’t accept some of the campaigns we’ve all seen because it never feels right. I’m talking about protein shakes or whitening products.

No, I work with big brands and I love working with the brands I work.

Brands with like Disney, L’Oreal, Samsung, Uber, and Universal. And I did get paid to work with them, it wasn’t a brand collaboration where I did a review and never received any compensation but the product. And that without selling my soul!

So this is the part about blogging that most people see, on Instagram for example. They see bloggers travel around the world and promoting products.

But did you know that being a professional blogger is like being everything at once: you need to know about technical things like page speed, SEO and website security, the ‘fun’ and creative stuff like photographing and writing, the business side like getting the best brand collaboration deals, negotiating about your advertorial pricing and PR and so much more! They say professional blogging is 80% promoting and just 20% writing and doing creative work.

Now, I know it may sound like a dream to many and maybe a little out of reach. But don’t worry, it’s not.

You just need to know how to make a living as a full-time blogger with a small audience.

In this 3 part video series, I’ll help you with the first steps towards a life you love. I noticed that a lot of blogging resources focus either on growing your traffic before you can start making money or on the blogging basics.

So that’s not why I’m here for.

I hope to see you soon in the video training, and here’s the tutorial on starting a blog once again.
