The challenge with traveling, of course, is that it can be expensive.  It often requires taking time out of your job too, which means there’s an intrinsic limit to how many days a year you can actually travel – whereas, if your job involves travel, as one of its fundamental elements everything changes.

If you’re someone that loves travel or are looking for a more exciting career that allows you to see the world, then these three jobs for people that love to travel are going to be right up your street.

Travel blogger

Whether you already have a blog, or have fantasized about one day starting one, setting up a travel blog is a great way to indulge in your passion for travel.

Even if you have a blog that isn’t totally linked with travel, you can always add a section, for instance, if you were to have a parenting blog or a fashion blog – many bloggers incorporate an aspect of travel into their categories.

Take Gabby Epstein, an Instagrammer with 1.8 million followers. She’s traveled the world for free, thanks to her Instagram!

She has a great course about Instagram and gives a lot of tips on how to travel for free as a blogger, I can definitely recommend it!

The great thing with being a travel blogger, of course, once you’re established with a decent amount of readers visiting your site, you can start getting free trips in exchange for a mention on your blog.

Pilot

If you’ve always dreamed of being a pilot, benefiting from all the perks that come with the job including a high salary, five star layovers, and free air travel (often in first class) then you might want to check out ACS Top 10 US pilot schools in order to turn your dream into a reality.

Cabin crew

If you don’t want the responsibility or hard study that accompanies being a pilot, then you could apply to be cabin crew and get many of the same perks pilots do.  Whilst, on regional airlines you’re unlikely to be living the high life – as most carriers tend to bring you home each night, this does mean more family time, which can work well for working parents.

Then, if you want something a little more exotic, you could go long-haul and stay in some of the most exotic places on the planet.

Bonus:  dream job

If you truly want to travel the world in style, then you could become a reviewer for one of the more upmarket brands such as Conde Nast Traveller or Time Out.  This way, you literally get paid to stay in some of the finest hotels on the planet – for free – as usually the property or your employer will pick up the bill at the end of your stay.

For this reason, it can be a highly competitive field to get into, but there are plenty of people doing this as a fulltime job, meaning there’s the opportunity for you to do it too.  It would help if you have experience of luxury travel, from a commercial perspective, and are an established travel writer – but hey, everyone has to start somewhere, and there’s no reason you can’t land what is most people’s dream job of traveling your way around the world reviewing luxurious hotels, restaurants, and spas.
