ConverKit and MailChimp are two of the best email marketing platforms out there. They have a lot of similarities, but there are also some differences between them. If you’re looking for the best email marketing platform for your business, you should definitely consider ConvertKit vs. MailChimp in 2023 before making any decisions.

A few years ago I already made a comparison post, but here’s the updated version because ConvertKit launched sooo many new features since!

ConvertKit vs. Mailchimp, which one is better?

Mailchimp is a great tool for beginners. It has a very user-friendly interface, and it’s easy to set up and manage your lists. If you’re just starting out in email marketing and don’t have many subscribers, Mailchimp is a good choice.

ConvertKit has more features than Mailchimp, and you can also use it for free. ConvertKit is better suited for creators who have already built up their mailing lists and want some extra bells and whistles on top of what Mailchimp offers—namely automation tools that allow you to send out emails based on time or other triggers (like when someone subscribes). ConvertKit makes auto-delivery easy, unlike Mailchimp.

If you are looking for something with more easy to understand features or if you have thousands of subscribers already then I recommend checking out ConvertKit!

An email marketing platform for creators

If you’re a content creator or avid blogger, an email marketing platform for creators will help you grow your audience and build your brand. But which one should you use?

Mailchimp is one of the most popular email marketing platforms on the market today. It has over 15 million users, so it’s easy to see why so many people are using it.

ConvertKit is another popular option for those looking for an easy-to-use solution that offers great features at a fair price. It has over 30k paying customers and over 500k free trial signups (as of June 2019).

Email marketing for Companies

Mailchimp is one of the most popular email marketing services. It provides a simple way to send emails, manage subscribers, and track campaign performance. It also has some great features that make it easy to create beautiful email templates and grow your list.

Mailchimp is an email marketing service that allows you to send targeted emails to your customers. It boasts a wide range of features, including a drag-and-drop editor, responsive templates, and the ability to easily create autoresponders. It’s easy to create beautiful email templates with Mailchimp’s drag-and-drop editor, which lets you customize your design with ease. You can also add images, links, videos, and more within your emails with this tool.

Mailchimp also keeps track of all your subscribers’ information so you can segment them based on their interests or location, which is great for sending targeted messages. In addition to this, Mailchimp has a feature called “Autoresponders” that lets you write automated messages based on different events (like when someone signs up for your list).

Additionally, Mailchimp allows you to import contacts from Facebook or LinkedIn so that these people can receive newsletters from you without having to subscribe again through another service like Mailchimp itself! This makes it easy for users who are already connected on social media platforms like Facebook or LinkedIn.

MailChimp also has a wide range of integrations with other platforms like Google Analytics, Salesforce, Shopify, and WordPress. It’s free for up to 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails per month. If you need more than that, it starts at $10/month for up to 50,000 subscribers. But with Mailchimp you need to buy a lot of extra ‘upgrades’ if you want to use certain extra features. Therefor I always feel like Mailchimp is perfect for big ecommerce businesses, but not for creators who maybe don’t even sell things via email.

ConvertKit has more features for creators than MailChimp

ConvertKit offers a lot more than MailChimp. Here are some of the main features that MailChimp doesn’t have:

  • Automation. The ConvertKit system is built on top of automation triggers, allowing you to build complex automations with ease. From the backend it looks like this, I love that they made it visual because that makes it my favorite ConvertKit feature!
  • Reporting. The built-in reporting tools allow you to track your subscribers and see how they behave, giving you valuable insight into what works and what doesn’t work for your audience.
  • Integrations. If there are any other systems or platforms that you rely on, ConvertKit has integrations with all of them – from SumoMe to Zapier to Shopify – so it can be used as part of a larger marketing strategy without having to use multiple platforms at once!
  • A sell option. You can sell digital items directly from ConvertKit, you can easily set up a paid newsletter and more with ConvertKit!

I personally use ConvertKit to deliver most of my freebies, like the free email course A Media Kit That Sells. It’s added as an automation into ConvertKit, and once someone signs up, they’ll start receiving the emails in the time frame I’ve set. From the backend it looks like this:

You can send out any sequence you’d like, from a welcome sequence to a sales funnel sequence, it’s a necessary feature for any business if you ask me!

Why I love ConvertKit

ConvertKit is a great email marketing platform. I’ve been with them for years now. If you’re just starting out with your business and want to do email marketing, ConvertKit is the best way to go. But I also made a post on how to automate your PR and Free Publicity efforts with ConvertKit.

ConvertKit has a great user interface, which makes it easy for you to manage your subscribers, customize emails, and see how many people have opened or clicked on each one of your emails.

ConvertKit has a really good support team that will help answer any questions or concerns that come up during the setup process (or even after you’ve been using ConvertKit for awhile). The team is available through email as well as live chat if you’re feeling impatient!

And did I mention their free plan? Yep—and they also offer a free 14-day trial for the PRO plan so that there’s no risk involved when trying out their software!

If you’re a creator looking for the best email marketing platform, switch to ConvertKit.

If you’re a creator looking for the best email marketing platform, switch to ConvertKit.

ConvertKit is a much better fit for creators than MailChimp. It offers more features that are more useful to creators, like auto-responders and automated sales emails. It also has easy-to-use tools that make it easy to create an opt-in page and give away free content in exchange for an email address (a great way to build your list).

With these features, it’s clear why ConvertKit is my favorite email marketing platform. It has everything I need to grow my business, and I don’t have to sacrifice any of my creativity when using it. If you’re looking for a product that will help your brand reach new heights, then ConvertKit is the perfect choice!
