Running a business can be a very expensive endeavor; there can be many start-up costs, and then there’s the cost of actually running the business, which is endless. There are always decisions to be made, bills to be paid, and you have to keep your business moving forward. There are, however, loads of free tools you can use to help your business, too, though, so are you making the most of them?

Google Search Console

Google Search Console is a free service offered by Google to help you monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot your website’s presence in Google Search results. You don’t have to sign up for Search Console to be included in Google Search results, but the Search Console helps you understand and improve how Google sees your site.

Google Search Console will fix indexing problems and request re-indexing of new or updated content, with it you can view Google Search traffic data for your site: how often your site appears in Google Search, which search queries will show your site and how often searchers click through for those queries. You will also receive alerts when Google encounters indexing, spam, or other issues on your site and find out which sites link to your website. If you have a website (which, if you have a business, you really should), then you should be using Search Console.

Wix Website Builder

If you don’t yet have a website, then as mentioned, you really should so get yourself down to this free website builder called Wix. It gives you a free account and can help you create a full-featured, mobile-friendly website that won’t break your budget.

Hootsuite also allows you to track how many followers you have on each of your social accounts, and you can monitor which posts generate the most engagement and likes, which means you can ensure that you are putting up content that your audience wants to see more of.

MailChimp Email Marketing

MailChimp is a very popular email marketing platform and for a good reason. For a small business that sends less than 12,000 email messages per month to less than 2,000 subscribers, then MaillChimp’s Forever Free plan is ideal. Not only does it let you send these emails for free but it also lets you use its built-in signup forms which will help you to gather subscribers from across the internet, it features a drag-and-drop designer and email templates which can help you to create the perfect email, and it also lets you check open rates and compare them to the average company in your industry – very useful indeed.

SurveyGizmo Online Survey Software

It’s always a good idea to know what your customers are thinking, how they’re feeling, or simply to know more about them so that you can target them better. SurveyGizmo’s free plan has no limits on the number of surveys, questions, or responses you manage, which is great. It also gives you access to 25 different question types, data visualization tools, and you’ll never have to provide any information either.
