  • Time to escape the dead weight of renting

Time to escape the dead weight of renting

At a certain point in your life, you need to think about how you’re going to stop renting and start buying. Renting, as you may have heard, is dead money. What this means is that you’re paying for something and in the long term, you’re not getting any benefit from it. You might also be spending extra money on the property that is ultimately going to benefit someone else.

For instance, you may have been renting a property for a few years. At a certain point, you might start to think about making improvements and completing renovations. This could ultimately end up costing you thousands and eventually you’ll move on. But, when you do, you won’t see the benefits of the money you put into the property. It’s the landlord who will benefit from your hard work and cash.

Save-iour and save your money like a pro

Saving money has to be one of the most unnatural things any of us have down since we flew abroad (flying is pretty unnatural as far as we are concerned).

  • Are you ready for these harsh truths about your business

Are you ready for these harsh truths about your business?

If there’s one mistake that even the most experienced businesses tend to make, it’s refusing to listen to criticism. Far too often business owners shut out anyone who might try to tell them something that they don’t want to here. There’s a degree to which this is kind of understandable. After all, no one wants to hear that something they’ve poured blood, sweat, and tears into isn’t working. But the issue with this is that, unless you’re willing to pay attention to what you’re doing wrong, you’re never going to be able to improve. By hiding your head in the sand and only listening to people who tell you exactly what you want to hear, you’re just going to end up making the same mistakes over and over until they start to put your business in serious jeopardy. To make sure that doesn’t happen, it’s time to face up to some harsh truths about you and your business.  (more…)

  • keeping your business cool when moving it abroad

Beat the heat: keeping your business cool when moving it abroad

Working in the blazing sun is, for a lot of people, a dream; to some it’s even a life goal, and moving your own business there is even more mouth-watering a prospect. The idea of waking up every day and not being met by a rush of cold air wishing you a good morning, whilst still feeling safe in the knowledge that you still have the built-in financial security that comes with being a business owner, are just a few things that makes British migration to Spain, for instance, such a tantalising prospect for a large amount of the business owner population. In 2014, the officially registered population of British nationals in Spain was 300,286: that’s a lot of people going in search of a hot summer and mild-winter Mediterranean climate, and there are probably even double that amount back in Blighty right now who would like to join them. But for all those who would there are precautions that have to be taken when moving your business to such a climate, and not necessarily things that necessarily strike as being important.

  • Technology that your business needs to survive

Technology that your business needs to survive

Sometimes you have to start at the beginning. One of the most important lessons that every business owner goes through is learning about technology. It sounds silly now because technology is a blanket term for almost anything electronic. Computers count as technology, your car count as technology and even the internet could count. As a result, when people mention technology in their blogs and articles, it can be somewhat hard to follow what exactly they mean.

Even if you’ve read a dozen different articles, there is no doubt that you’ve picked up some useful information among all the useless junk. However, this article will be different. In this post, we’re going to talk about the bare basics of technology that your business needs to survive. (more…)

This is how you guarantee your business new clients every month

In such a competitive climate, we have to do everything in our power to force our companies to stand out from the crowd. Whatever industry you’re in,  you know how difficult it can be to push your brand to the forefront. And great company branding isn’t enough anymore – a cool slogan, a snazzy logo, and a sharp website aren’t sufficient to push a potential customer to choose you above your competitors. Sales aren’t about persuading, convincing, or winning – that’s how customers leave unsatisfied with the service they received – it’s got to be all about making your company accessible, and building client trust from the moment they lay eyes on you.  Here’s how it’s done.
