You’d be forgiven for assuming that snapchat is a tool which teens use to flirt and send silly photos of each other, because largely, it is just that. However, snapchat can actually be a money-making tool for your business and drive in extra sales.
But how can you use snapchat to make money? Issa Asad talks about it in a podcast, and we are going to talk about it here, how to use Snapchat for business.
Every company will have new store openings, blogger evenings and anniversaries now and again. Get one of your employees to share the journey throughout the whole day and post it on your story. It will drum up interest and you could even offer exclusive access to your followers. It’s also a great way to build that personal relationship with your followers as they will be able to share in these big events with you, wherever they are in the world.
Have you got a new range coming out? Use your snapchat account to send out hints at the name and theme, and send photos of small sections of an item, inviting followers to guess what it is. It is a great way to get your audience involved and get that interest flowing before you finally reveal what the product is.
You are only human, and your followers will want to see that. If you are filming a photoshoot in the studio for a new launch, take your followers behind the scenes instead of only showing the finished photos. The connection they will gain from seeing you as real people going about your daily lives will strengthen the bond you have and gain you a more loyal fanbase. Got a special celebrity guest in the building? Show them off to your followers. You can talk to your followers with the celebrity in question and gain a lot of interest from fans all over the world.
Don’t think that because this is a business account that you have to be straight-laced all the time, snapchat is not the same as LinkedIn; it is for real people who want to have a laugh and play around. If you are in the office working on something exciting, whack on a filter and talk to the camera. Show that you are more than just suits.
Snapchat videos are limited to 10 seconds, so you can talk to your followers during the day in short snaps. It gives them the chance to reply to you and gain an insight into how you spend the day in the business.
Snapchat has the advantage of a character limit and time limit on the story. Your post will be available for 24 hours only. Send a snap with a voucher code for a limited time. Your followers can then use this for money of their order. You could even run a giveaway and invite your followers to share the snap with others in order to enter. This way you can widen your reach even further and gain more sales.
