The COVID-19 crisis is making life difficult for everybody, and we are all trying to find ways to keep ourselves entertained during the lockdown. Although things are difficult, it does mean that we have more time to dedicate to things like enhancing our homes and spending more time with family. But parents are finding it hard to keep their kids entertained, and with no telling how long it will be before things get back to normal, it’s important that you find things for them to do.

Reading is a great way to keep the kids entertained and help with their education as well, so you should try to encourage your kids to get into some new books. These are some of the best kid’s books to read with your family during the COVID-19 crisis.

Harry Potter

Harry Potter is probably the biggest kids book in the world and it has captured the imaginations of multiple generations since it was first released in the 1990s. If you have younger kids, they may not have read these incredible books yet, and now is the perfect time to start. There are 7 entries, and they become more advanced as you move through the series, which is ideal because it helps your child to develop their reading skills as they go. The later books are quite large as well, so the full series should keep them entertained for a long while.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

A Series of Unfortunate Events is an incredibly popular series of kid’s books that has recently been gaining more interest since Netflix adapted the books into a new series. They were written by an author named Daniel Handler, under the pen name Lemony Snicket, and follow the adventures of three siblings. It’s a fantastic story with 13 entries, and if the kids are still hungry for more after finishing the whole series, there is even a prequel series available as well.

The Chronicles of Narnia

The Chronicles of Narnia is an old series, but if your kids love magical fantasy books, this series will definitely be a hit. The kids may have already seen a lot of the films and TV adaptations that have been made, but they don’t compare to the magic of the original books. There are 7 entries in the series, so there should be plenty to keep the kids entertained during the lockdown.

The Best Books To Read With Your Family During The COVID-19 LockdownRoald Dahl

Roald Dahl is perhaps the most well known children’s author ever, best known for titles like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and The Witches. In his lifetime, he published 34 books, many of them children’s titles, as well as a lot of short stories for both children and adults. Many of these books have been made into popular films and musicals, so it’s likely that your children are already fans of some of his work. If you are looking for some great kid’s books to keep your family entertained, the Roald Dahl collection is perfect.

These books are all perfect for reading with your children during the lockdown so you can keep them entertained and help them to boost their education at the same time.
