There is a reason that Los Angeles is the land of the rich and famous. The movie studios set up there because, according to History.com, the state laws meant Thomas Edison couldn’t sue movie moguls for using his patented technology. The warm sunny weather meant outdoor shoots were less likely to be disturbed by poor weather too. So it was no surprise that the booming business soon attracted many movie stars to set up home in this stunning location. If you are visiting LA for a short break, here are a few things you have to put on your must-do list.

Party Like A Movie Star

LA is designed for partying into the night. There are plenty of fantastic nightclubs for those party animals. Who knows, maybe you might bump into a celebrity and be invited into the luxury VIP lounges. Do make sure you get the full experience by booking Mobile IV therapy in LA to get the hangover cure that means your next day won’t be wasted either.

Take A Guided Movie Set Tour

Once you’ve partied like a movie star, go hang out on set and see where they work too. Most of the biggest studios all have tour packages. Think of what classic movie sets or props you might want to see in person and look for the studio that produced it, or if you are a real film buff, you can look at what movies are being made right now and figure out if you are getting an early glimpse of a stunt or two on the way past.

Hike in Griffith Park

Griffith Park is a large oasis of greenery in the middle of the city. Most famous for the Hollywood sign, the park offers spectacular views of Beverly Hills. A guide can quickly point out the most magnificent mansions, the exact filming locations of many blockbuster movies, and some hidden gems sprinkled around the park. If you are a fan of horses, then there are also equestrian trails around the park and pony treks for the younger children.

Venice Beach

This bustling beach is a favorite of locals. Whether you are a muscle man or a skater boy, you can find a home for you at this beach. One of the most enjoyable activities on offer is surfing lessons. The swelling waves make it suitable for beginners to get their feet wet. If you are a surfing pro, then many other beaches offer various wave types to master.

Visit Hogwarts

Sunny LA might not sound like Hogwarts home, but The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios brings the magical school to life. If you are a Potterhead, then this tourist hotspot is unmissable. You can get your house sorted with the sorting hat, duel with a dragon and finish your day with a taste of butterbeer. The park is stuffed to the brim with official merchandise. There are wands and school scarves galore that will delight any fan of the books or the movies.

Los Angeles offers so many highlights whether you want to spend the day with your family or a night with the party lovers. It is a must-see destination with plenty on offer, whether visiting for the weekend or exploring for a few weeks. The mix of natural beauty with celebrity spotting nightlife and tourist attractions means there is something for everyone on offer in LA.
