Many of us go through life wishing we knew more. At school, college, and university, we are sponges, absorbing information on a continual basis. When we finish formal education, we continue to learn and develop new skills, but often, we crave a different kind of experience than learning on the job or honing parenting skills. If you decide that you want to explore a career change or you have a thirst for knowledge, there are options that don’t involve enrolling in night school, packing in your current job or going back to college.

One of the few things that literally everybody can do in order to make some extra cash is selling stuff online. A few years back, when there weren’t as many resources and knowledge as there is today, it was really easy to make good money online. In my experience it was a lot easier to sell stuff online and make way more money than it is nowadays. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try. Everything you make extra is good, and especially if that also means decluttering! A filled bank account, a decluttered home and a lot of free space in your brain!
I’ve been doing this for years, because I prefer selling stuff I no longer want or use over keeping it somewhere in the back of the closet. I’ve collected a few of my favourite ways, because they’re easy or because it’s a good place to actually sell stuff for a good price. Guess what? If you have lots of people to buy gifts for throughout the year, then you’re probably buying presents all year round, likely at the last minute in a bit of a mad panic. However, what if you were to change the way you approached gift-buying, and while you still bought them all year round, you did it strategically and not necessarily at the time when you need it. Whether it’s gifts for men, women or children, you probably go shopping or see things online all year round and things that a loved one would like, but it’s the wrong time to buy it for them, but why? If you can remember what you have purchased and have somewhere to store things then why not buy gifts as and when you see them as this will save you so much time and can save you lots of money or at least you’ll feel like it is.

Choosing to go and study for a number of years is a big decision to make. We are all pushed into education as children and as we get older our teachers and parents try to push us towards university and college to get a degree doing what we are good at. Sometimes though, traditional routes of education don’t work for us and this is where things such as gap years and internships can come into play.

We’ve come a long way when it comes to our homes, perhaps, even, too far. There are plenty of benefits to owning your own business; being able to set your hours and rules are the main ones. However, for all the benefits, it can also be extremely challenging. It can be lonely and isolating, and on top of that, when you have piles of stuff that all need dealing with at that very moment, it can be overwhelming and stressful. No-one likes to contemplate failure. It doesn’t matter if you’re a CEO running a blue-chip corp, or a stay-at-home mom battling with lively kids, we all have an ideal version of ourselves in our heads, and when we know that we are failing to live up to that ideal, it can be very painful to accept. Life is full of ups and downs by its very nature, and seeking outside support is sometimes very necessary in order to help us on our journey.
