  • Why I want to stop traveling full-time

Why I want to stop traveling full-time

Never allow waiting to become a habit. Live your dreams and take risks. Life is happening now.

This week I stopped waiting for things. From articles or photos that need permission to publish, people you make plans with but they keep changing the date to my own to do list. I do it all. Now. Or keep going instead of wait. That feels much better and more in the moment!

    I want to stop traveling

I now realize how important it is to have a backup emergency (travel) fund. Go make your dreams come true, but never take risks like traveling without an emergency fund. After a string of ‘bad experiences’, it’s more than ever time for me to book an expensive hotel (I don’t like motels). I don’t know how I could have paid for it without my emergency fund, and as a freelance blogger or entrepreneur, there are always ways to make more money.

I’ve created a 21-days action plan for you and your blog or business, to earn that extra $5000 in just under three weeks. It’s hard work, but it’s worth a try isn’t it? And the best thing about it – It’s not a hundred dollar course, you can start today for just $20!

  • Hello Osaka, what a welcome!

Hello Osaka, what a welcome! | Japan Travel Diary

When I first arrived in Osaka after a very long (20+hrs flight and stop-over) from Australia I wasn’t tired at all. I was super excited to finally be in Japan for the first time! I knew Japan Wireless was waiting for me back at my place, so I only had to make it to the place without struggles or internet. It was way later than I calculated before due to the long queues (3hours) at the rail station to get my preordered pass. So I had to follow a different travel schedule as the metro I was supposed to take didn’t even go anymore. It was late at night, and I realized when I was on the train that check-in time had ended. Stressed, because arriving in the middle of the night in a new place is never ideal, I hurried as much as I could. Everything went super smooth, the train system in Japan is genius (more…)

  • Being a digital nomad: an inconvenient truth

Being a digital nomad: an inconvenient truth

We have to admit, life as a digital nomad is pretty fantastic. You’re on your own schedule, the whole world is your oyster, and you get to live a life that is truly of your own creation. That’s all good and well, no complaints there! However, there is an inconvenient truth associated with being a digital nomad, and that is: it’s very hard to keep your carbon footprint down to a minimum when you’re jetting off from one part of the world to another every few months. There is, however, things you can do to offset the environmental damage you cause. Here are just a few of those ways. (more…)

  • Why Vegas should be your next destination

Why Vegas should be your next destination

There are a huge number of destinations in the US which have many different attractions going for them, but there are very few places which can do anything to match Las Vegas. The fact is, of all the many cities and other locations in this huge country, there is nowhere that offers such a wide and diverse array of experiences as Las Vegas. If you have never been before, then you probably have a relatively fixed image of this city in your head – and, chances are, it is not entirely accurate. Although it is known for a few choice things, the fact is that Vegas has plenty to offer besides, and looking into some of these is bound to encourage you to consider it for your next destination. If your next trip is around the US, here’s why you might want to consider stopping over in Las Vegas at least once. (more…)

Beat the heat: keeping your business cool when moving it abroad

    Home » Travel » Page 9

Working in the blazing sun is, for a lot of people, a dream; to some it’s even a life goal, and moving your own business there is even more mouth-watering a prospect. The idea of waking up every day and not being met by a rush of cold air wishing you a good morning, whilst still feeling safe in the knowledge that you still have the built-in financial security that comes with being a business owner, are just a few things that makes British migration to Spain, for instance, such a tantalising prospect for a large amount of the business owner population. In 2014, the officially registered population of British nationals in Spain was 300,286: that’s a lot of people going in search of a hot summer and mild-winter Mediterranean climate, and there are probably even double that amount back in Blighty right now who would like to join them. But for all those who would there are precautions that have to be taken when moving your business to such a climate, and not necessarily things that necessarily strike as being important.
